Get Involved with Music

The Chamber Music Festival runs on volunteer power! Whether you take tickets, work backstage, pour wine or water flowers, you make the Festival come alive during two weeks each summer. Want to get involved? Not sure what you want to do? There’s something for every skill and interest. Read here about the different ways you can help.

House a Musician

Get to know a musician, up close and personal, when an artist stays at your home during the Festival. We need housing for 20 musicians, for 3 to 10 days. The host family provides housing, a light breakfast, and a welcoming spirit.

Our musicians need to buzz around, constantly, going to rehearsals, performances, dinners, and social engagements. Since many come from out-of-town and cannot bring their own cars, we ask our volunteers to loan us vehicles for the Festival week. If you have a car that might appreciate being handled with care by a mature, responsible driver please know that such a gift would help our Festival enormously. We also occasionally need people to pick up artists arriving mid-week at the Wenatchee airport.

Maintain the Venue

If you can plant a flower, or just want to hang out and drink some lemonade, come lend your spirit to our next work party at the Festival grounds. We'll be setting up the stage, chairs, dressing up the yard, cleaning everything, and generally preparing for another fabulous performance season.

Work Backstage

There is plenty to do before, during, and after each summer Festival. Work backstage and witness the show from a completely different perspective. Meet the artists. Get to know our staff.

Got Art?

The Festival's Wall of Art features visual art by local artists and CDs from our musicians, all available for sale throughout the 10-day Festival. Proceeds from each sale are divided evenly between the Festival and the artist.

Check Tickets

You'll have the most important seat in the house, at the front door, where you greet everyone who comes to the Festival and make them feel welcome. Ours is more than a concert, it's a community event.

Help with Parking

Those cars didn't park themselves! Our volunteers direct every car to a good spot and orient first-time visitors. We have spaces for handicapped, large vehicles, and RVs.

Work Concessions

Everybody likes a cold drink on a warm day. You can pour cold ones for your friends and neighbors before the show, at intermission, and afterwards.

Learn Technical Stage Craft

Each year we recruit one technical intern who wishes to gain experience running lights and sound in a professional theater environment.

Join the Board

Our board is filled with people who appreciate fine music and like bringing it to our community. We welcome your participation.
